Love the idea, looks like it will be a lot of fun, so now I need to work on my IC for joining and then keep modding from there.

Avail yourself of the wealth of knowledge we have gathered in the ACADEMY on the JRS home site and you now have access to the JRS Base Exchange where only our most trusted vendors display their wares. You will find the CRL for both the Standard TIE Pilot as well as the 181st Fighter Group Pilots in their respective forum threads.
Lastly ask questions and let your fellow pilots aid you with their experience. Use the search engine because we have all been there before and why reinvent the wheel when the subject has most likely been discussed.

Thanks for the welcome, and I most certainly will use the search function (dang handy things). I am planning to do the IC first, but if I can land my hands on a gunners helmet, I think I may look at that heavy gunner idea a little more seriously (I carried an M60 for 6 years, hard to get it out of your blood).
I don't suppose there is a door gunner costume for this set-up? I see they use something like it in the Clone Wars, but not sure if something like that was continued for use in the original series?

There's not an "official" door gunner out there, but we're starting to get some of the canon hard armors made over at the Corps. I'll shoot you a PM here in just a bit with info on the gunner bucket. Welcome to the Troopers in black
