Chunks Tour of Duty

Postby Chunk » May 15th, 2010, 9:18 pm

Hi All,
Well I know I started a "TOD", but I can't find it. So had to start a new one. This is my 3rd troop, but more importantly. This is my 1st troop that I organized. It was to promote Tommy T's Toys & Treasures first annual Star Wars day. A specialty toy store that sells Star Wars, Sci Fi, comics..ect. We had a great time dispite a kids beauty pagent going on right in front of us.

Few more pics,
Sorry if the edges are cut off. I thought I had adjusted my camera to take the smaller pictures. Luckily most of the pics are only cutting off empty space.

The lights were playing ticks with my camera. Just outside the store it was brite white, & inside the store they had a dull yellow light. For some reason it made all the detail come out funny on all the black costumes. But you get the jist. We had a great time & raised lots of money for my chosen charity. Berlin & I chose Petmatchmaker.org They are a local dog rescue. Normally they will go to the SPCA or Dog Pound & rescue dogs on their last day before they are put down. Or pick up a dog off the streets, then adopted them out to loving families.
PS... Thats Berlin in the Slave Leia costume.

A special thanks to you, who showed up and supported Chunk at his first own organized event. It meant a lot to me and him, that you came. "you know, who you are :) "
I really had a great time, dosenmatter that i had to stay most of the time inside the store
And it was nice to meet you and hopefully will see each other again soon.
Thanks again, Berlin aka Tina :D

#4 down... Just completed the most AWSOME TROOP! It was on June 11,10 for San Marino HIgh School Graduating Class of 2010. One of the animators from Star Wars(Not sure who yet) had a grandchild graduating this year. So the theme was Star Wars. He drew a special poster for this event & we were given a few as thanks for showing up. This is a very rich school & they spared no expense in making props & decorations. You see the lifesize AT-ST, huge Star Destroyer on the front of the gym, & the swamp set they made. Best of all was they turned the entire inside of the gym into the Death Stars hanger bay. The Millennium Falcon was pretty large & you can see the size in the pics with the people under it. There are too many great pics to post. So I'll just list my Photobucket link. Im the ugh humm larger tie pilot in the pictures. Or with the eye tears on the helmet. The other pilot in the pics is none other han ACE of ACES Jag. I've come to be his wingman out here in So California. :officer

Holy moley, what a set!
I hope somebody saved all those props.
Did the Rebels pilots act as waiters?
Looks like it was a real high class graduation party.

The two offical Rebel Pilots were local Rebel Legion Sunridder Garrison Memebers. You can tell them from the other "generic" pilots. All the generics were indeed the waiters for all the kids. I was told they were fathers of the children graduating. :officer

Number 5 out of the way. Im a 10th of the way to my "Acehood" :TI
This was from July 23 at San Diego Comic Con. Berlin & I had a great time. We trooped with Namgorf & helped promote C5 for LFL by wearing Hawaiian shirts & shorts. We handed out C5 flyers to everyone who took pics with us.

Great pictures. Looks like a lot of fun was had by everyone! Especially in the "casual" uniform of the day.
