TI:Unknown TOD Report

Postby Tech'Nomad » March 15th, 2009, 10:10 am

Well, at this moment I do not have a number to identify myself with. But the important thing here is that I had my first troop yesterday. The Mountain Garrison walked in the St. Patrick's Day Parade, which was also broadcast on the local Fox channel. I currently have my own flight suit with Imperial Cogs and I borrowed the rest of the armor from a fellow Garrison/Squad member. In the picture below, I am the Tie in the center pointing my gun into the camera.

I am currently considering several options that may be available to me so that I can have my own armor. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to more troops in the future..

It was great to have you there. It was my first official troop. I'm the TI in the lower right part of the screen, and my son is the Darth Revan right behind me. What a cool day that was, and an awesome first troop. Looking forward to trooping with you again.

Glad to hear you both had a good time. Wish I had been there. Will you guys be at StarFest?

Unfortunately, I will be working on Starfest weekend. Long days and early mornings aren't the best but it is better than the alternative. Maybe next year.

And it was a lot of fun trooping with you Starglider.. After I got home, I thought it would have been cool to get a pic of the Tie Pilots together. But we will have to save that for another time. Hopefully when I have my own set of armor.

Yes, kids and I will be there Saturday for StarFest. Not sure which uniform I'll be in: TI, TX, or a special surprise.

Just following up on the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Denver. Sorry for the delay on this but it took a little while to find..

Here is the television feed that was shown on the local Denver station.

My son was on the float behind Darth Vader. I am the second Pilot from the left and SkyGlider is the Pilot on the far right.

Can't wait to get my own armor and do this again

Yeah.. I was in a hurry to leave when I posted this(was on my way to a funeral) so I forgot to mention that the announcer goofed.. But I was sure that somebody would catch it..

Sorry to hear about your loss, our condolences.

:palpy It was nice that they were talking up the museum, but who ever wrote up the "script" for the announcers didn't include anything about the Legion. I still love the stroller with ion collection panels.

I guess it's time to post up a few troops.. Let's see.. Where to begin..

I did a troop in Aug. 09 for a Kevin J. Anderson book signing.. But that really doesn't count here.. I was a Snowtrooper..

I'm the TIE in the rest of these... So maybe they count.
Troop for the Marines Toys 4 Tots.. Nov. 09

Denver's St. Patrick's Day Parade 2010 (second year in attendance)

And just this week, Jun 2010.. At the Rialto Theater in Loveland, CO to support the Loveland Public Library expansion.. With my kids even.. My daughter in the Jawa and my son as a Rebel Pilot.. Aside from the obvious joke about dueling pilots.. This is my first troop in my own set of armor.

So far, it looks like 5 troops total, with 4 troops as a TIE..

I have received my coveralls from Costumebase and will be submitting my application to the 501st legion very soon.. I will post up full armor pics here very soon also.

I'm not sure where else to post this... But I won't be an unknown pilot for too much longer. I submitted my application and have had my armor approved. Now I need to be patient and wait for my number to be assigned by the Legion.

I am on pins and needles here folks. I'm fairly excited about what this future holds..
